CCPS Release Notes - July 2026 (v3.3.8)

The CCPS Team is excited to share what we've been working on for the July 30, 2026 release. This update introduces a redesigned navigation experience, refreshed login and account menus, clearer visual styling across the platform, and fixes that improve compliance, placement requests, exports, and administration.

Enhancements

Redesigned Two-Panel Left Navigation

• CCPS now provides a far-left context menu for switching among available role contexts, including School, Provider, Regional Admin, and System Admin where applicable.

Regional Admin View

Provider View

• Selecting a context updates the adjacent primary navigation with the pages and tools relevant to that role.

• School users can quickly access Create Request, Attest Requirements, and Assign to Rotation.

• Provider users can quickly access Cohort Requests, Preceptor Requests and Locations.

• The navigation includes clearer active states, hover text, visible keyboard focus, screen-reader support, responsive behavior, and adjustable width that persists across sessions.

Refreshed Login Experience

• The login page has a modernized layout, updated form styling, password visibility control, password-recovery placement, MFA information, footer links, support access, and Request a Demo presentation.

• Your existing authentication flow remains unchanged.

Updated Account Experience

• The Account menu is aligned with My Account options for profile management, password changes, notification preferences, notification enrollments, and logout.

Improvements

• Global visual consistency: Updated the application background to white across roles and screens for a cleaner, more consistent experience.

• Header and notification cleanup: Temporarily removed the notification bell from the header. Notification Preferences and Notification Enrollments remain available through account settings.

• Placement request guidance: Updated the provider warning shown when requests span multiple rotation periods so users understand which availability is shown and how to use Allow Overlap.

• Administration and reporting access: Restored or clarified role-appropriate navigation and report access, including background-check reports for authorized administrators and organization management for Regional Admins.

• Smoother updates: We've improved our release process to help ensure smoother updates.

Bug Fixes

• Compliance and attestations: Corrected requirement-status resets, inaccurate non-compliant results, missing instructors, and default filtering problems on Attest Requirements and compliance views.

• Placement requests: Restored the New Placement Request button for eligible Los Angeles-region schools and fixed left-navigation dropdown selection, Enter-key behavior, multi-word searches, and keyboard navigation that prevented users from changing context or completing selections.

• Exports and data accuracy: Corrected Instructor and Student exports so MyCCPS expiration dates and service statuses display actual values instead of internal component text.

• User administration: Fixed blank Manage Organizations results that prevented Regional Admins from assigning organizations or creating and updating users.

• Account and interface defects: Fixed the Account button, CCPS-logo keyboard navigation, profile-menu background, profile dropdown alignment, login footer visibility, idle-warning truncation, and notification subject display.
